Carl Sagan, “Pale Blue Dot.”

My friends Rachel and Ben became parents in March to a beautiful baby boy they named Sagan. When I visited them in the Mission in San Francisco last July I asked about his name. It seemed like a familiar-sounding English name, yet I’d never heard it before. Ben explained to me that their son was named after Carl Sagan, someone I’d (sadly) never heard of before. It was wonderful being introduced to Carl Sagan by Ben. We watched this video together and I literally got teary eyed. We were both very moved.  Xoxoxo from Seattle, Ben and Rachel and Sagan!
