[Update 11/23/11, 6:38pm: The slides, resources, and demos of the HTML5 webcamp are now up.]

Last Friday I went to a webcamp on HTML5 at Microsoft, facilitated by Doris Chen. Because of some technical issues (like not having a big enough screen for those of us sitting farther back to be able to see), I didn’t learn quite as much as I had hoped.  It did bring to mind  Jen Matson’s excellent session at Infocamp 2011. Matson is a UX designer and her session was particularly geared toward UX designers, specifically prototyping in HTML5 and CSS3. Matson shared her resources (which I also shared at the webcamp using the hashtag #wcrd):

Thanks to everyone who attended my talk! Since I ran out of time for Q&A, feel free to ask away on Twitter (@nstop). Also, here are some resource links for those who want to explore further:

Two great overviews of HTML5 — the first an interactive presentation, the second a highly-readable primer:

To show off the beauty and power of HTML 5, Chen gave a demo of the Lost World’s Fair, which I highly recommend checking out.  It gave me another InfoCamp flashback because  Nishant Kothary, the keynote speaker, also gave a demo on the fair.  More links and a good recap of InfoCamp can be found on Frank Martinez’s blog.

Chen announced that her slides and other material would be up on her blog, available to download. They don’t appear to be up yet, but I emailed her and will post an update as soon as they are.

Do you have good resources on HTML5 and CSS3? Please share them in the comments!
